Kuala Lumpur, February 22, 2010 - ISRA and Thomson Reuters inked a MoU at the global launch of Thomson Reuters Islamic Finance Gateway today. The Gateway is available on TR’s flagship product Thomson Reuters 3000 Xtra. With the MoU, users of the Islamic Finance Gateway can benefit from the Shariah resolutions (fatwa) database that ISRA has collected and will continue to collect and translate.

It is hoped that the fatwa repository provides the wholesale banking community with a reference point for the Shariah views on different aspects of Islamic Finance. The increased transparency can then serve as an impetus for better cross border activity and communication.
